Hi, I'm Rebecca!
I’m a Dutch-Nepali photographer and illustrator known for my conceptual, surreal photographs. I engage in a lot of commercial photography as well to balance out work between personal and professional interests.
Clients I've Worked With
History
At only 19, I was hired immediately after university at Ateneo De Manila to work on art direction for Unilever accounts. I transferred after to DDB, in charge of their Pepsi account, focusing mainly on Gatorade.
My first photography clients included Citibank, Unilever, McDonald’s, Nokia and Globe Telecom. As recognition grew of my mixed illustration style, I was hired by clients to work on difficult pieces which involve heavy photo retouching. New clients I’ve worked with include MTV, Pepsi, Nestle and Levis, as well as a number of magazines and fashion labels.
Moving later on to London at 23 years old, I became the youngest art director at Getty Images, managing the high end conceptual collections of Stone / Stone + and Photonica, collaborating with Europe’s top commercial photographers.
At 26, I set up my own advertising agency, The Paper Boat Creative. The agency currently has branches in London and Manila. I work with a tight team of designers and programmers on animation, web design, graphic design and photo retouching.
Current
Residing in Manila, I manage international artwork, focused on post production and photography for advertising clients. The Paper Boat Creative has also been renamed to The Paper Boat Worldwide, a true reflection of the background and application on all visual art that I engage in.
